Pachamanga pachadi is the sweet addition of Vishu sadya. It is easy to make with the following recipe.

Ingredients

1 tbsp coconut oil

½ tsp mustard seeds

2 dried chillies (finely chopped)

Curry leaves as required

3 shallots (finely chopped)

2 green chillies (finely chopped)

1 tsp ginger (crushed)

1 raw mango (cut into small pieces)

¼ cup water

½ cup coconut milk

Salt as required

½ cup coconut milk

Preparation

Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, dried chillies and curry leaves

Sauté well

Into this add shallots, green chilies and ginger and sauté

Add the raw mango and sauté for 5 minutes

Add water, half a cup of coconut milk and salt as required

Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes

Add the rest of the coconut milk and turn off the flame.
