Try this healthy oats bar for breakfast

Diet conscious people love to snack on some health bars that are easily available in the super markets these days. However, they are costly and hence many find it difficult to purchase it regularly. Try out this recipe of the healthy oats bar which isn't baked and can be easily prepared at homes.

Ingredients

2 cups oats

½ cup almonds (chopped)

½ cup raisins

¼ cup sesame

2 tbsp pumpkin seeds

½ cup palm sugar

2 tsp ghee

¼ cup water

Preparation

Heat up a vessel with thick bottom and add oats

When the oats begin to change colour, add the chopped almonds

Stir well for 5 minutes on medium flame and add raisins into it

Mix well and add sesame

When the sesame seeds pop, add in the pumpkin seeds and keep stirring

Into it add palm sugar and ghee

Mix well

Pour the water and stir until the palm sugar is melted and mixed well

Turn off the flame when everything is mixed well together

Transfer the hot dish into a vessel which is greased or lined with butter paper

Cut into desired shapes when it is still warm

The bars get firm when they are cooled down

Store in air tight containers.

Notes

These nutritious bars can be consumed for breakfast or as a snack. Jaggery can be used instead of palm sugar.
