2 glasses biryani rice
1 ½ tbsp ghee
2 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
6 green chillies chopped lengthwise
½ tsp ginger crushed
½ tsp garlic crushed
1 inch piece cinnamon
A few curry leaves
A few coriander leaves chopped
Salt to taste
Wash the rice and drain.
Heat the ghee in a pan and saute the onion
Add the tomato, green chillies, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, clove, cardamom and curry leaves stirring all the while.
Pour four glasses of water.
Add the rice and salt as the water starts to boil.
Stir and cook till all the water is absorbed.
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
