Quick snack: Paneer nuggets

Paneer nuggets is a perfect snack which can be prepared in no time. As this can be kept frozen and used whenever required, makes it an apt starter for bigger parties as well.


400 gms paneer cubes

1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1 3/4 tsp salt

Lime juice from half a lime

1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup corn flour

1 cup milk

2 cups bread crumbs

1/2 tbsp onion powder (optional)


Slice the paneer into long pieces and keep in a bowl

Marinate it with ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder, one spoon salt and lime juice and keep it aside for half an hour

To another bowl, make a paste of all purpose flour, corn flour, 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and milk

Take bread crumbs, onion powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a plate.

Dip the marinated paneer pieces in the flour mixture, role in the bread crumbs and deep fry.
