Stuffed potato patties: A healthy evening snack

Potatoes are store houses of vitamins and other essential nutrients which is excellent for the growth and development of children. Green peas masala is used as filling in crispy potato patties. These delicious patties can be used in vegetarian burger as well.


2 cups potato (boiled and mashed)

1 tbsp corn flour

1 tsp green chillies (chopped)

Salt as required

For filling

2 tsp oil

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 green peas

1 tsp ginger-garlic (crushed)

Juice of half lemon

Coriander leaves as required

Salt as required


In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, corn flour, green chillies, and salt as required

Mix well

Separate the mixture into small balls

For the stuffing, heat oil in a pan

Add cumin seeds

Add crushed ginger and garlic, and green chillies

Stir until the raw smell of the mix is off

Add green peas

Add lemon juice, coriander leaves, and salt as required

Mix well

Place the previously prepared potato mixture on the palm of your hand and press gently

Place some green peace mixture on its centre

Make it into balls

Press these balls again on your palm

Heat oil in a pan

Fry the patties until golden brown

Potato patties can be served hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
