Vendakka kichadi for a quick meal

Vendakka kichadi is a delicious ladies finger curry made in a jiffy for a quick meal. It goes best with rice.


1/2 kg ladies finger

10 green chillies

1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger

1 cup curd

3 onions (chopped)

4 dried red chillies

2 sprigs of curry leaves

Oil as required

Sugar if needed


Brush the ladies finger with salt and fry it in a pan

Heat oil in a pan

Add green chillies and ginger

Take it out and mix it with the fried ladies finger

Add curd and mix it well

Add 1/2 tsp sugar

Fry onions, red chillies and curry leaves and pour it into the curd mixture

Vendakka kichadi is ready to be relished
