Rich and creamy, the pal payasam is our version of flowing white milk chocolate. The kids are sure to love it.
Milk 2 ¼ litres
Water 1 ¾ litres
Raw rice (unakkalari) 2 fistfuls
Sugar 450 g
Cardamom powder to taste
Combine the milk and water, pour into a flat-bottomed vessel and bring to boil.
When this condenses a bit, add the rice. (Wash the rice before using).
When the rice cooks enough, add the sugar and keep stirring continuously.
When the payasam has reached the desired consistency, add the cardamom powder and remove from stove.
Add more sugar if required to suit your taste.
