Fibre-rich baby corn payasam

Baby corn, rich in fibre content, is packed with proteins and other essential nutrients as well. Here is a unique recipe of baby corn payasam or dessert. 

Ingredients

3 baby corns (steamed and ground to fine paste)

1 cup sago pearls (chowari)

½ cup cashew (ground to fine paste)

½ cup condensed milk

1 cup first extract of coconut milk

1 cup second extract of coconut milk

½ cup sugar

2 tsp cardamom powder

Roasted cashew and raisins as required

Ghee as required

Preparation

Heat ghee in a pan

Add the baby corn paste

Sauté well

Add cashew paste and sauté well

Add the second extract of coconut milk

When this mixture boils, add the sago pearls (chowari)

When the desert begins to thicken, add sugar, condensed milk and the first extract of coconut milk

Mix well

Sprinkle the cardamom powder

Mix well

Garnish generously with roasted cashews and raisins
