Spicy, crispy fried chicken


Fried chicken is obviously one of the most popular chicken dishes. The flour coating makes the chicken crispy while onion and garlic add more flavour to it.


6 chicken pieces

1 tsp rock salt

1 cup butter milk

Black pepper powder as required

1 cup yogurt

1 tbsp paprika powder

For the coating

2 cups all purpose flour (maida)

1 tsp paprika powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder


Marinate the chicken pieces with rock salt, pepper powder, butter milk, and paprika powder

Keep it in the fridge for at least 5 hours

In another bowl take the all purpose flour (maida)

Add paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper as required

Mix well

Coat the marinated chicken pieces in this flour mixture

Place the chicken pieces on a sieve and dip in cold water

Coat the chicken pieces again in the flour mixture

Heat oil in a pan

Fry the chicken pieces for 20 - 25 minutes

These crispy fried chicken pieces could be served hot with mint chutney or mayonnaise.
