Carrot cake

A simple and humble cake that catches your attention for its great taste, the carrot cake has been a favourite among bakers, and for good reason!


3 eggs

1 ½ cup sugar powdered

1 ½ cup vegetable oil

2 cups white flour

1 pinch powdered cinnamon

1 pinch salt

1 ½ tsp baking powder

1 cup grated carrots

½ cup sugar caramelized


Preheat the oven at 220 —¦C

Beat the eggs well and to this slowly add the powdered sugar and then the oil

Mix well till smooth. Sift the flour along with salt, baking powder and cinnamon powder

Add this dry mix to the wet ingredients and form a batter without lumps

Add the grated carrot and combine well. In the end, add caramelized sugar and blend well

Pour the cake batter into a cake tin and place in the heated oven

After 10 minutes, reduce the heat to 180—¦ C. Bake for an hour or till a cake pick inserted into the centre comes clean without crumbly bits sticking to it
