Chicken quiche


Try this easy version of the French pie dish at home. This preparation demands little effort and will add an international flavour to your Christmas feast.


230 gms maida

Water as required

120 gms butter

Salt to taste

¼ cup chicken

¼ cup capsicum (chopped)

½ cup milk

4 eggs

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup cheese


Mix the maida with salt and rub in the butter using finger tips until it resembles bread crumbs

Add enough water to form a dough

Roll out and line a greased pie dish

Prick the base with a fork

Bake the base at 200°C for 10 minutes

Mix the milk with eggs, salt, pepper, chicken, capsicum, and cheese and pour into the base

Bake at 200°C for another 10 minutes.
