What cooked up this viral dosa-making video

Firefighting comes in many forms. A cop in the Kerala Police Academy cooked up a dosa to prove that all was well in the training school at Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur. His colleagues recorded the appetising scene and posted it on social media. It then went viral.

The cop cook was not aiming for stardom when he donned the chef’s cap. He said that he just wanted to tear at a claim that the purchase to the academy kitchen was steeped in corruption. He proved his point. The dosas came out all fluffy and crispy.

The large pan had turned a bone of contention in the academy after a group of cops alleged that the Rs 50,000 purchase of the kitchen equipment violated norms. They had their doubts after the costly pan was not put to use for a long time.

Even the viral video has not helped in settling the issue. The critics say that the pan was indeed faulty but the management got it repaired for the video.
