Cocoa Tree is a coffee shop run by the Avenue Group of Hotels. While its main outlet is situated on MG Road, Kochi, it also has a subsidiary at Panampilly Nagar, Kochi. The ambiance of this place, despite being located on a rather busy road, is rather peaceful and warm. Not to mention the rather courteous and welcoming approach of the staff.

It is a perfect example of a quick recess from the maddening world outside. The interior are appealing in more than a way. An aesthetically constructed book shelf consisting of a few popular magazines could be seen adjacent to a unique board covered with sticky notes (or comments) by some of the coffee shop's customers.

The highlight, however, is the deadly Choco Excess Sizzler. Don't miss an opportunity to grab a bite of this sinful combination of a steaming hot brownie and vanilla ice cream, drenched in caramel and chocolate sauce. The place also offers its customers a large choice of drinks to quench their thirst. If you think you deserve a larger dose of cocoa, the Chocolate Frappe' is worth a shot. This fine blend of pastry in a glass filled with chocolate milkshake is bound to give you the 'high' that could keep you awake for a night or more.

The rates are however, the greatest catch. If you are looking at value for money, then you would probably want to stand by the Club Sandwich and the Chocolate Frappe. No, we are not talking about a 2-digit figure. But probably these dishes are bound to make you feel glad about spending a fat sum of money. Then again, if cost was never a concern, the sky is the limit. In short, you may want to consider stocking approximately Rs100 – Rs400 per head while visiting this food joint. (Good things come with a fancy price, as always!).
