Two-way chia pudding


Chia seeds, native to southern Mexico and Central America, are high in nutrients. Though chia seeds are mainly used in salads and sandwiches, it has now been used as the main ingredient to make pudding as it becomes gelatinous when wet. Here are the two ways to make a sweet pudding using chia seeds.


1 cup chia seeds

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp melted chocolate

Sliced strawberry as needed

Almond flakes

Fresh cream

For pudding with seasonal fruits

1/2 cup curd

2 tbsp honey

Seasonal fruits of your choice


In a bowl, mix together chia seeds, milk, honey and vanilla extract

Cover and put the mixture in the fridge to set up for 6 hours

Take the mixture out and add melted chocolate

Mix well

Pour the mixture into a glass with sliced strawberry

Top the pudding with almond flakes, some more strawberry pieces and fresh cream

Serve the pudding and enjoy

To make it with seasonal fruits

Blend the seasonal fruits, curd and honey in a mixer

Add the seasonal fruits mixture to the refrigerated chia seeds mixture

Add your choice of toppings and serve
