Lentil dumplings curry

Ingredients

1 cup chana dal soaked overnight
5-6 black peppers
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium-sized onion (ground to paste)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
3-4 medium-sized tomatoes (pureed)
1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp oil
Ghee
Coriander leaves 

Preparation

Grind soaked dal along with ginger and garlic paste, peppers, salt.
Steam the batter to make dumplings
Heat oil and sauté ginger, garlic paste
Add in onion and cook till done
Add tomato puree and cook till dry
Add cumin, turmeric, coriander, red chilli and garam masala powder and cook till oil separates
Add water and cook for a while
Add the dumplings and cook for a few mins
Garnish with coriander leaves
Serve with rice/paratha/roti
