Make smoky, spicy tandoori chicken at home


Be it barbecuing, grilling or tandoor-ing, smoked food always has many takers. You don't have to rely on the costly restaurant menus every time you crave for some spicy smoked chicken. You can do it at home. And trust us, you do not even need a traditional tandoori oven for this.


1 chicken cut into 10 or 12 pieces

2 tbsp Kashmiri chilly powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp tandoori masala

1½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste

½ tbsp of green chilly paste

1 tsp coriander leaf paste

5 tbsp curds

1 small spoon lime juice

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp oil

Salt as required


Marinate chicken pieces with all ingredients except oil and butter

Refrigerate for three hours

Heat butter and oil in a pan and cook the chicken over a low flame

Keep turning them over till they are grilled and become crisp
