Sprouted Green Gram Fried Rice

Green grams are rich in proteins. Sprouted green grams contain, in addition, plenty of vitamin C and vitamin B12. Another advantage is that they are quickly digested.

Ingredients

2 cups basmati rice, cooked
½ cup sprouted green grams
3 tsp oil
1 large onions, sliced thin
1 carrot, sliced thin
¼ cup cabbage, grated
1 capsicum, sliced
1 tsp chilli sauce
2 tsp light soya sauce
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
3 spring onions, chopped fine
2 pinch white pepper powder

Preparation

Sprout the green grams and keep it ready
Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions
When the onions are well sauteed, add the carrots and saute again. Take care to see that the carrots are not over cooked
Now add the sprouted green grams and the cabbage and stir for a minute or two
Add the capsicum and mix thoroughly once or twice
When it is well blended, add the chilli sauce, light soya sauce, pepper powder, salt and sugar and saute for 5 minutes
Now add the cooked rice and blend it in well
Garnish with the spring onions, sprinkle pepper powder and remove from the flame
Serve warm
