Paneer Cutlet

How can there be rain and no cutlets—those spicy and tasty delights that make for the perfect light bite for the evening?

Ingredients

200gm paneer
1 fresh bread slice
Oil as required
½ tsp jeera
2 onions chopped
2 green chillies chopped
1 ½ tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric
½ tsp coriander powder
1 egg beaten
1 potato boiled and mashed
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 egg
Bread crumbs as required

Preparation

In a mixer, grind paneer and the fresh bread slice separately. Keep this aside
In a big pan, add a little oil and sauté the onion slices until they turn transparent
Next, add to this the chillies and the ginger-garlic paste
Add the turmeric, chilli powder and coriander powder and sprinkle a little water to avoid burning
To this, add the paneer, fresh bread powdered, potato, coriander leaves and the beaten egg for binding
Mix well and remove from fire
Shape into small cutlets
Dip in egg, coat with the bread crumbs and fry in hot oil till golden brown
Serve with ketchup or mint chutney
