For Indians, especially those from the southern states, fish is always the favorite side dish - fried, roasted, steamed, boiled...we cook them in many ways. Ever tried grilling it? No, we are not talking about the spicy brownish version. Try our recipe, sans marinating, to save time.

A good source of Omega 3 fatty acids, seer fish or the Indo-Pacific king mackerel is a healthy choice. To get the best out of it, it is advised to go for a healthier, grilled version which uses less oil. To make it even more appetizing, serve them with a tint of mustard sauce with delicious capers and some grilled tropical vegetables.

Ingredients

2 pieces of seer fish

2 tbsp capers

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp chopped garlic

2 tbsp chopped onions

1 tbsp chopped parsley leaves

1/2 tsp pepper powder

4 slices of snake gourd

4 slices of cucumber

4 pieces of long beans

4 slices of yellow pumpkin

4 slices of carrots

1 potato, cooked and sliced

1 tsp butter

2 tsp mustard sauce

2 tsp lemon juice

Salt as required

Preparation

Heat a pan and spread olive oil in it

Add garlic, onion and parsley leaves

Add some capers also to the pan and saute well

Now add the seer fish pieces and shallow fry both the sides

Add some more olive oil

Season it with salt and pepper

Pour the spice mix over the fish pieces using a spoon

Baste it for 3 minutes

Meanwhile, heat butter in another pan

Add some chopped onions, garlic, salt, and pepper powder

Add potato slices to the pan and mix well

Fry it for 2 minutes

Place them on a serving plate

Saute the remaining vegetables in the same pan

Add some water and allow it to cook lightly

Season it with salt and pepper

Place them over the potato slices

Place the seer fish slices on top of it

Deglaze the pan by adding some water and heating it

Add some mustard sauce, capers, parsley, and lemon juice to it

Pour this sauce over the grilled fish and serve
