The season calls for some super soft gulab jamuns. You have tasted the traditional version many a times. How about giving it a yummy jackfruit twist? These sinfully sweet golis have an aromatic jackfruit flavor that make them worth dying for.

Ingredients

5 tsp chakka varattiyath

2 tsp milk powder/diary whitener

2 tsp maida

250 gm sugar

2 tsp ghee

1/2 tsp cardamom powdered with sugar

Preparation

Boil sugar and water in a sauce pan

Mix chakka varattiyath, dairy whitener, powdered cardamom and sugar, and maida

Make a dough

Roll them into small balls

Meanwhile, turn off the sugar mixture when it dissolves

Heat ghee in another pan

Fry the dough balls in the ghee

Keep turning them over to fry all sides evenly

Transfer them to the cooled down sugar syrup

Enjoy the jackfruit gulab jamuns
