This salad is a great idea for using leftover bread!
5 slices bread (should be 23 days old)
3 big tomatoes, chopped fine
6 button onions, chopped fine
2 tsp dried basil or some fresh basil, chopped fine
Salt to taste
A dash of vinegar
A dash of olive oil
Soak bread in chilled water for 23 minutes. Squeeze out the water and crumble the bread.
Add tomatoes, button onions, basil and salt to this and chill it in the fridge.
Mix the vinegar and olive oil to this just before serving.
