Passion fruit lemonade

It's scary when your weather app starts showing 36 degree Celsius temperature on a sunny day in February. What scares more is the fact that you still have two months left to endure the summer heat. Filling ice trays would become a regular exercise. Every time you go out, you will feel pulled towards a nearby ice cream parlor or juice shop.

Why not try some cool summer drinks at home and save some bucks this time? Grab a pitcher and try out this simple passion fruit lemonade recipe to beat a sunny yellow day with a yellow drink.

Ingredients

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 cup sugar

¼ cup passion fruit pulp

Water as required

Ice as required

Preparation

Heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan

Stir until the sugar gets completely dissolved

Remove from heat and allow it to cool down

Pour in the lemon juice, passion fruit pulp and another cup of water to this sugar syrup

Chill this mixture

Pour over ice and serve

You can also add mint leaves and crushed ginger to the lemonade more fun.
