Duck Roast

Ever relished a duck roast soaked in coconut milk that makes for a perfect combo with your rice or chappatis? This is the one!

Ingredients

1 kg duck meat cut into big pieces
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 dsp chilli powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
2 tsp garam masala powder
1 cup shallots, cut into two
1 cup thick coconut milk
1/4 cup oil
1 cup boiling water

Preparation

Marinate the meat with salt and turmeric for 30 mins
After marinating, fry the pieces in coconut oil in a frying pan
Brown both sides of the meat and keep aside.
Use the same oil to sauté onion along with garam masala
Add chilli powder when shallots turn brown
Add the fried duck pieces to the sautéed onion
Add boiling water and pressure cook for 30 minutes
If gravy is loose even after the meat is cooked, allow to thicken
Add coconut milk once the required consistency is reached and then serve
