What really tunes the strings of their heart when hunger pangs rise to a treble? Amid setting goofy Malayalam lyrics to thumping music and doing shows across the country and abroad, what delicacies tingle their taste-buds?

We threw the question at them, while on a breezy chat about food, the orders and disorders of it.

What's on the table, Thaikudam Bridge? Siddharth Menon, Anish T N and Mithun Raju of Thaikkudam Bridge

'Thattukada', quipped Siddharth Menon, the young gun of Thaikkudam team, who has sent hundreds swooning over his dulcet renderings. He also confessed to being a fan of all things chicken, and said that the best chicken lollipop he has had is in 'Uncle's Kitchen' in Mumbai.

Peethambaran, the grandmaster of Thaikkudam team though resorts to a vegetarian diet mostly. “A meal featuring the good old sambar and aviyal with pappadom is what I relish”, he said, although stating that he does indulge in meat dishes once in a while.

What's on the table, Thaikkudam Bridge? Band member Peethambaran singing at Thaikkudam Bridge concert

Mithun Raju, lead guitarist, owned up that home food is the best food! “While on a tour, food wise, the only hope is to get back soon as possible to relish some home food”, he said, adding that his favourite dish would be a delectable home-cooked neymeen fry.

Anish T.N., who's on the drums, also said that a home-cooked fish curry would make his day!

The team members had some fun at the expense of Govind Menon who was missed during the chat; vocalist, violinist and the music producer, he can be called the backbone of the Bridge. Peethambaran vouched for Govind's love for kanji and chammanthi, muthira (horse gram), mathi fry (sardine fry) and then KFC chicken, in that order! Going by the fish cravings within the group, it's no wonder they came up with a chosen Fish Rock that says precious much about the fish in coastal Kerala.
