Kalki Koechlin has always been a good neighbor of Kerala. Born in Pondicherry and brought up in Bangalore, Kalki has been a frequent visitor to the state, especially during the vacation of her Ootty school days.
And what should draw her to the shores of Kerala, but the aroma of its delicious cuisine.
“I just love the different fish preparations of this land. They are so delicious,” Kalki said.
She paused for a moment and said, “I also like fish moilee... moley. How do you pronounce it?”
When the pronunciation was conveyed to her, she settled back with a grin before declaring that appam and mutton stew are also close to her heart.
The director-actress was in Kochi over the weekend for the city premiere of her debut directorial play 'The Living Room'.
