Jude Anthany may not be a household name in Kerala, but after his directorial debut, 'Om Shanti Oshana', he definitely is. Success, however, has not changed the young director's way of life and he is still the same Mama's boy!
A hardcore non-vegeterian, Jude cherishes his mother's chemeen fry (prawns fry) and fish curry. Fancied by many for his simple style in movie-making, Jude's love for boiled eggs comes as a surprise. The director recalling his college days, shared over phone, his excitement and impatient longing for his mother's food after being back from hostel. “I had a strange obsession with boiled eggs; I even used to dream of eating it everyday no matter what!”
And that's how Jude's mother came up with a different kind of egg curry to relish with Palappam. “It's not the usual kind of egg curry and it tastes so different! I don't know how she prepares it, but all I can say is that it's different and I gorge on it”, says Jude.
Another trait of his mom, he explains, is her love for sharing. “Amma always taught us about lending a hand to those in need and sharing things with others. In fact, that thought has always driven me and helped me in my life.”
