Tacos

Taco is a traditional Mexican dish. Wheat or maize tortillas filled and folded are called Tacos. This can be had fried or even otherwise. The specialty of tacos is that it tastes great irrespective of the filling. It is generally filled with cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, coriander leaves and onions, and garnished with a dash of tomato sauce.

Ingredients

½ cups oil
6 tortillas
1 ¼ cups chopped meat, cooked with spices
Chopped lettuce as required
Chopped tomatoes as required
Grated cheese to garnish
Taco sauce/ salsa to garnish

Preparation

Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry one side of a tortilla. Turn over and using tongs fold it. Fry the tortilla to a crispness of your liking. Scoop out and place on a kitchen towel.
Fill the insides of the folded tortilla with the meat and serve with the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and salsa.
