1 kg fresh squid
2 bunches spring onion, chopped
4 tbs red chilli flakes
3 tbs garlic, chopped
2 tbs ginger, chopped
4 tbs lemon juice
Salt as required
Olive oil as required
Wash the squid well in running water
Remove the ink bag, tentacles and plastic, like spines from the tube
Wash well once again
Marinate the squid with salt, lemon juice, chopped garlic, chopped ginger and chilli flakes
Place a frying pan on the fire and add olive oil to it.
Fry the marinated squids well till they curl up.
When the squid gets cooked well, add the chopped spring onion and mix well. Take care not to over-cook the squids
Add more seasoning if needed and serve hot
This dish is an excellent accompaniment with the famous Goan drink feni.
